Blank Effect Template

I’ve created a template to make it easy to start building Quartz Composer video effects. If you don’t have it, Quartz Composer comes with the developer tools on your Mac OS X install disk.
Download the template below and open it in Quartz Composer. You will see instructions on how to begin in the blue note box. It is very important to delete the Video Input patch before trying your creation in iChat or Photo Booth, as it is only for previewing your effect in Quartz Composer.

    Thanks, that is a really nice and clear template that should be of great help to people.

    But I should probably point out to people that this is a template for a standard effect, not one that makes use of the backdrop removal thing that powers quite a lot of the leopard effects and effects people have been creating in the last week.

    I’m busy at work right now, but if anyone wants to make a template for the background removal effects, I’ll put it up when I get home. Post it in the forums!
