Backdrop Template

Linked below is a template for creating your own ‘Backdrop’ iChat or Photo Booth effects.  This is the one to use if you want to work on hologram type effects, or effects that only modify the foreground or background of an image.
Make some cool effects and upload them to the forums!

    I’m (obviously) brand new to all this quartzFX stuff, but I’m smart enough to play around with filters and stuff… What I can’t figure out is - how do you get the PREVIEW window to work in this new awesome template? What am I missing? Thanks!

    Unfortunately, iChat and Photo Booth are responsible for all the compositing magic, so the only way to preview the full effect right now is to try it in one of those applications. The standard effect template available on this site does have a preview option though. You could build a rough version of your effect in that, then move it over to the backdrop template.

    when i download it all that comes up is a quick time player screen and its blank and it wont work can someone tell me what im doin wrong

    Try right-clicking and choosing ‘download’, also make sure you have Quartz Composer installed.
